Presidential and vice-presidential nominations
According to the BTP's bylaws, Article 11, section m:
On January 1st of presidential election years, notice of the party's intent to nominate candidates for the presidency and vice-presidency of the United States shall be published on the Party's web site and nominations shall be opened, to be made through the appended comments form. All candidates who are nominated by two or more Party members, who meet the qualifications of office listed in the Constitution of the United States of America, and who affirm their support for the Party's platform and their willingness to accept the Party's nomination to the presidency and/or vice-presidency of the United States, shall be considered eligible nominees, any affiliations they may have with other political parties notwithstanding. All nominations and candidate affirmations must be received prior to the opening of that year's regular convention. The Chair shall take official notice of any candidate affirmations which may be fraudulent, and shall investigate, and issue a ruling as to the legitimacy of, such affirmations. The National Committee may, by a vote of four or more members, override the Chair's ruling. It is the affirmative responsibility of the Chair and the National Committee to verify, to the greatest degree possible, the integrity of the nomination process.
This forum topic is the "official" nominating space for the BTP's presidential and vice-presidential slate. Please reserve this topic for nominations, seconds and candidate acceptances/statements of non-acceptance. Other discussions pertaining to candidates can occur in the general discussion forums.

I would certainly like to be considered for the upcoming presidential nomination in the Boston Tea Party. I am currently the nominee of the Personal Choice Party, which is headquartered in Utah. I also ran in the 2004 election as the Personal Choice nominee (actress Marilyn Chambers was my running mate), and in fact finished fourth in the Utah division of the National Mock Election, behind only Bush, Kerry and Nader. I was one of about two dozen candidates the PC Party had on the ballot. On election day, we were sixth in Utah, the only state we were on the ballot. This year I am anticipating access in at least a couple of more states.
I am doing this is the spirit of fusion and cooperation, with the objective of possibly unifying efforts between like-minded people in the pursuit of furthering liberty, as this seems to have taken a back seat to political expedience in the Libertarian Party. The Personal Choice Party was formed almost eleven years ago among LP members who left the party, or rather, departed when the party left THEM. So there is kinship with the Boston Tea Party. True parties of principle need to communicate.
I see a great coalition here. I am located in Florida and I am obviously delighted to help in the formation of an affiliate BTP chapter, as well as getting some ballot access and campaigning here in the Sunshine State.
Thanks, and I hope to be talking with everyone soon.

While I am not old enough to be a candidate this election cycle, I do wish to be the nominee in 2016.
