southernpatriot:

Since the National Committee has failed to pass a motion to appoint members to these committees; as Chair, it is my responsibility to make sure people are appointed to these committees.
The following people hve volunteered and will be appointed to serve (committee assignment appears after the persons name). It shall be the responsibility of these members to organize the committee and recommend proposals before the beginning of the National Convention - which begins May 1, 2012.

Both committees have 4 members.

Darryl W. Perry (southernpatriot): Bylaws

Todd Andrew Barnett: Bylaws & Program

Doug Gaking (inDglass): Bylaws & Program

Ron May (RonMay): Bylaws & Program

Jason Gatties (jasongatties): Program

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I would love to serve on both committees....however, I feel I would be more beneficial to the Bylaws Committee. I'd like to head it once again.

Todd Andrew Barnett:

Doug:

I would also like to be on the Program Committee. I have some ideas for our Program that could help get the Party moving forward.

southernpatriot:

I thought you said you preferred the Bylaws Committee... I will add you to the Program Committee.

Todd Andrew Barnett:

I did, but I changed my mind. I want to do both.

southernpatriot:

Just a reminder that we still need volunteers to serve on these two committees.
Committee members must be appointed by February 1.

jasongatties:

Its been awhile since I've interacted here but I visit the BTP website often, especially lately. I've enjoyed working with Douglas in the past, so I wouldn't mind serving on the program committee.

southernpatriot:

Jason, thank you. I have motioned the National Committee to approve those who are volunteering.
You will be notified by February 1 of official committee assignments.

In the mean time, I would not be opposed to bouncing ideas off one another.

jasongatties:

no problem.

inDglass:

I would like to help with the Program Committee.

As for the Bylaws Committee, I am not interested in writing any new bylaw proposals, but I have served on the committee before and served as party chair, so I would be qualified to consider and, if needed, amend proposals. I could serve on the Bylaws Committee in that capacity.

southernpatriot:

Thank you Doug!

On an unrelated note - I'm still waiting for several members of the Nat. Com. to vote on appointing the first members to the Ballot Access Committee.

inDglass:

I suppose it is a good thing that we will be electing new NatCom members soon.

southernpatriot:

I hope that party members will volunteer for these committees, If needed, I will serve on either or both committees.

RonMay:

If needed, I will serve on any committee.

southernpatriot:

Ron, thank you - committee assignments will be made no later than February 1.
