Lately

Folks, I have been very impressed with the level of commitment and steadfast support we are getting.

On Facebook, Todd Andrew Barnett has done stellar work creating new groups for the Boston Tea Party nationally and in Michigan. I would urge other members of the party who are members of Facebook to join the groups there, RSVP for the events there, and organize new groups for your own states. Recruit, recruit, recruit.

Todd has also done some work on MySpace but I haven't been getting on MySpace lately. If that's your cup of tea, go there and do likewise.

Todd and several others are working in Michigan on a state affiliate. They have been massaging the bylaws found at all important node 42. http://bostontea.us/node/42 Go there now and do thou likewise, friend.

I've been getting phone calls. Linda from Nevada called and wanted to talk about setting up a party affiliate for Nevada. Thread now found here: http://bostontea.us/node/51 She just moved from Wisconsin - maybe she can get some friends in Wisconsin to set up our affiliate there.

Dr. Tom Stevens has called a bunch of times. He is a very earnest and dedicated supporter of this party. He has done yeoman's work as vice chair. I honor his personal commitment to freedom.

A bunch of people have helped put me in contact with folks in Florida. I think there is a nucleus of a good state affiliate forming there.

We continue to have an active presence in Colorado. I see new topics on this site for other states. I look forward to some people approaching the national committee this week to get their state affiliates approved - the bylaws require a unanimous vote.

If your state is ready, please visit
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/btpnc-talk
and subscribe, then add a new post about your state.

Yes, we're having a national convention on the 15th and you get to vote, or his name isn't Tom Knapp. So, thank the founder, cast your vote for your favorite candidate, and lets get some standard bearers out in front of the voters.

The work has just begun. We have a matter of days after the convention to get on the ballot in Colorado. I'm told that there is a contributor for that state's ballot access fee. We have a matter of weeks in some other states. Months before the general election.

I want to challenge you to find out what it takes to get the Boston Tea Party, or our candidates by name as independents, on the ballot in your state. I want to challenge you to contact me to strategize about how to make that happen. I challenge the Boston Tea Party membership to wake up, get rolling, and get on the ballot in 10 states this year.

And keep it going. Let's have a state affiliate in every state and in every territory by the end of 2009. Let's have ballot access in 42 states by 2010, and move on to 50 states in 2012.

Finally, I want you to sit down today with your favorite drink, after work, and plan a party. Plan a party with your family, friends, neighbors, whoever you like to party with. Plan a Boston Tea Party.

This week, this month, this year, whenever you want, have a Boston Tea Party. Party like it is 1773.

Because it is 1773. The tyrannies are here. The usurpations of power are here. The trouble is here. It is time to misbehave. I mean to misbehave.

You have a choice. You stand at a crossroads in history. The road forward where the herd is going is toward tyranny, injustice, more socialism, less private property, no privacy. Go with the herd and you are going in an internment camp. Let the herd have its way and you and I and people like us are going to be tortured to death. The people who want to stay in power are going to justify the imprisonment and massacre of millions of Americans because we were inconvenient. Because we wanted freedom. Because we demanded justice. Because we stood up and said, "no more!"

So, before they do that to you, throw a party. Do something bold. Throw the King's chartered company's tea in the harbor. Dress up in costumes, put on some war paint, have a dance, throw a fit, get crazy. Make love not war. Bring back streaking. Stamp out things that need stamping out.

Do not go quietly into that sad, terrible world of death camps and torture. Do not shuffle down the road to serfdom.

Stand up! Put your shoulders back, chin up, chest out, look your would-be masters in the eye, and spit on their faces. Give them a pranging they won't soon forget. Be John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence in a hand big enough to be seen by the king without his glasses on. Be Paul Revere riding to warn your fellow countrymen of troops on the move. Be proud of your role in history.

Get organized, get rowdy, get busy. I want you all to misbehave. Loudly, madly, deliberately stake your claim to freedom.

The time for a change is now. The change you can believe in is the one you make for yourself.

Hello, all
I'm a former LPMA and National LP member who has not been active in the LP
for quite a while. I just did not have the time for activism.
However, from what I have heard regarding the Denver LP Convention, and the gutting of the platform from previous LP Conventions, shows me clearly that a believer in the ZAP,Zero Aggression Principle, as I am, has NO business in any form of the LP, state or national.
Therefore, I ask for any help in starting an affiliate BTP in Mass.
Let's start a NEW American Revolution!
Yours in Liberty,
John Pasceri
